Some of my first few trials at making flowers.. let the pictures speak for themselves
Everything that is new or uncommon raises a pleasure in the imagination, because it fills the soul with an agreeable surprise, gratifies its curiosity, and gives it an idea of which it was not before possessed. -Joseph Addison

I would say the quilling really helps to reduce stress but... too much of it can cause you to be down with other type of sickness! hehehe

Another Makeover
Storage box makeover (Part 1)
I have 3 orange storage boxes which I bought 3 years ago and they are still in good condition. Because they have helped me keep my room organiozed, I decided to give them facial lifts - makeovers!

The first box.Just a simple flower, the idea popped up while watching TV.
The Beginning
A Beginner
I am a beginner in this quilling thingy. After observing the techniques on youtube, blogs like miyyah@kertas,lin handmade greeting cards, among others, I brave myself to give it a try and thus the name daretoquill :)). I don't know how long this passion will last as I love trying new things. Last time, it was crochet, it was last year and I still have a basketful of yarns waiting to be turned into something. Oh! I guess they can wait...:))

As I was curling and twirling the paper strips, she also busied herself with the papers, these are her versions.
